Walls going up at 5300 Gateway Blvd.
The walls are going up! The process of putting the tilt wall panels in place started yesterday. Each of the 8-10 ton panels for the building has to be raised off the ground by a crane and put in the proper place. The Folsom construction crew has to precisely place each panel so that they all fit together. It is like putting together a giant jig saw puzzle. Tuesday, 17 panels were raised, placed and braced. There will be a total of 56 tilt wall panels once the building is finished. The crane you see in the pictures is a

Commercial warehouse development is on the rise, and there has also been an increase in speculative construction. For example, more than half — 62% — of the 59 million square feet under construction by the end of third quarter in 2013 was being constructed without signed tenants.
Currently, the U.S. storage and commercial warehousing industry is worth an estimated $26 billion and this figure is expected to continue increasing. The various lighting specifications in a warehouse building – energy source, lamp quantity, installation method, bulb type, and frequency of usage – collectively determine the overall quality of lighting in the space. Thus, when all of those factors are taken into consideration,
